Aren't you glad ...

... you don't know any of these people? Being and Mindfulness. (Hat tip, Dave Lull.)

Some further comments here.

And there's this, from Beckett's Ohio Impromptu:
Always as if buried in who knows what thoughts, they paid no heed to light of day, the sounds of reawakening. What thoughts? Who knows? No. Not thoughts. Profounds of mind. Buried in who knows what profounds of mind. Or mindlessness.

  1. Wow, what a lot of amazing hate and vitriol and ignorance those comments collectively display. I can't tell who's more solipsistic, the people who are trying and failing to be mindful, or the people who have only hateful things to say about them. Of course the tribe never wants to let go of its members, so "change back" messages are always accompanied by "you're being ridiculous" messages; it's a way to enforce conformity.

It says a lot about a society, that it would go so far out of its way to try to get some of its members to conform to its lowest common denominator. Not to mention how even the original author here sort of missed the point of the exercise. LOL Ah well. You can't tell people anything they don't want to know.
